They are deadly to fish in the ocean and their neurotoxic venom is so complex there is no anti venom for it. It’s armed with at least a hundred different toxins.

Scientists have found that Conus araneosus, the marine cone snail, spews a venom that induces sleep in its preys. The discovery could hold the key to understanding why and how the peptide compounds in the venom induce sleep in other animals and, more importantly, if they can be developed into a therapeutic drug to treat sleep disorders in humans.
